I stumbled upon your article thru a web search and noticed that you were holding conflicting views with the general interpretations regarding those verses. I'm definitely no theologian, just a guy who desires to glorify god thru everything that I do, but I have to say I agree with the common interpretations most people hold. the truth is the idea of being your brothers keeper (I.e loving your brother as you would love yourself) wasn't formed in that specific passage. That idea is made very clear in other parts of scripture and what we've done is connected those ideas with this phrasing " being your brothers keeper". As for the turn the other cheek, I think it's a spot on interpretation to say it means to let go of an offense, or to not lash out on another, repay evil with evil, rather with love. I can see how those same words can be given a slightly different interpretation, but the truth is that that's a prideful response to ask for another beating with the intention of belittling the person( making them feel like the beating has accomplished nothing).
