I don’t have a lot of time before I have to get going to work, so I’ll make this fast.
A couple of days ago, there was a forum hosted by Allen West called the Conservative Black Forum, and it was taped by C-SPAN. As far as I know, it was the first of its kind. Wanna know how I found out about it? From a Daily Caller video that showed some stupid remarks from the only liberal they invited; Cleaver from the Congressional Black Caucus. Maybe I’m missing a slew of posts about this forum on the righty blogs I visit, I don’t know. It seems to me this would be a pretty important event to cover.
They had some good folks there including J.C. Watts, Tim Scott, and Star Parker. There are some others there that I hadn’t heard of before, but they all seemed pretty passionate about the conservative philosophy and trying to figure out ways to reach the black community to show them that they have conservative values, but don’t vote that way.
I’m looking forward to the next one, and hopefully the righty blogs will cover it (note the “perceptions” thing that Watts brings up more than once):

I hope that “townhall” type forums should follow with people who have Victories and success stories could share what has worked, what is working, and what has been learn from the these victories as well as the disasters. also we need to do a better job at discussing with our own children who have benefit from the being raised in homes whereConservative principles were Preached and Model and pointing out to them that whenever we have said “I don’t care what the Kids down the street do we in this house will do it this way”!!! Press On!
