Okay, look at this idiot talking in the megaphone. When you listen to him, you’ll realize that he hasn’t thought about anything that he is talking about, and has no actual life experience from which to build off of.
Free university degree. Now, I’m not down on higher education at all. What about over-saturation into the system? If all higher education is free, how long before you are told what you will be studying? If there are too many people studying a certain field, and the market is already full of those certain kind of workers, don’t you think that at some point you won’t be allowed to study the field you’re interested in? Read on to the next part for more details!
Jobs. This ties in with the “free” university degree. Let me fill you in on how the government works, since that is who you will be working for. When you get done with your little university degree and you get in the work force, you will want to work hard to get promoted, no? Well, the way the government works, you are likely to end up in a “frozen” job. See, when I was in the Marine Corps, I ended up deciding I would like to be an Anti-Tank Assaultman, which is basically a grunt with the ability to destroy tanks. Now, when I got into the fleet with the others, guess what happened? We were the last bit of people that were allowed in the MOS for quite some time. The reason? There were already too many of us! Not only that, but we couldn’t get promoted past E-3 no matter how hard we tried, because all the positions from there on up were filled already! Let me spell that out for you; we couldn’t make more money even if we were excellent in our job.
Food. Okay, I don’t want anyone to starve, obviously. But if you want to live properly, you need to work hard. I don’t think food stamps for all is the way to go. They already give out an ENORMOUS amount per family; this is not sustainable (I know you lefties are all about sustainability, right?).
Housing. Oh! Free homes! Well, I wonder when the government will decide when you get your free home? Will they make one available to you when you are 17 or 18 years old? Will they wait until they are done putting you through your free university? Where will this free home be located? Will they wait until someone kicks the bucket so a home opens up for you to live in? Will they place you in an area close enough to the job they assign to you after they give you your free university degree? Oh yeah, here’s some other experience I have that I can share with you! In the video it’s mentioned that you can’t have your house taken away from you. Well now, let me fill you in on something since you are talking about the government giving you a home. Once upon a time when my family and I were really struggling, we had to live in section 8 housing. We only had to pay… crap, I can’t remember, but it couldn’t have been more than 20 bucks a month. Guess what happened when winter came around? They came into where we lived, set the thermostat to whatever temperature they wanted, then slapped a lock box around it so we couldn’t change it, even if we got cold. The government giveth, and the government taketh…
Union. I won’t even go into everything that is wrong with unions here, but if you really think that “the people” make decisions, and that the union bosses aren’t out to rape you, you are sadly mistaken. Just look at the destruction they’ve unleashed on Detroit. That should be grounds enough for you to totally REJECT unions!
Entitlement generation, you are a bunch of idiots that have yet to grow up. You don’t understand what liberty is, which is obvious since you think that a government will provide you with everything you need, and that there will be no worries. You need to step back and think about the things you are advocating, because you are promoting tyranny for all.
